Pleasure Doing Business was started out of a need to provide young contemporary women with classic pieces that have a hard, unique edge at a price that is not only affordable but also socially and economically responsible. The market desires such a label, one that is separate from the fashion goliaths, who are detached from the day-to-day, street level aesthetics we live with through. The PDB customer is a woman with strong personal style, which is based in confidence in who she is and what she finds beautiful; as opposed to adopting an external prescription for fitting in. She is strong but quiet. She buys pieces because they don't necessarily look like the mass market she is so bored with. She believes people should costume for the part they play. But she is not concerned with being part of cliché norms. She feels empowered to tell the truth about who she is, instead of conforming to unrealistic and irresponsible ideals.
