Donni Charm

When my father’s life was taken as a result of an accident, I was so fortunate to find a creative outlet to help me heal. He remains with me in everything I do, which is why I am so proud to dedicate donni charm in his honor. It has been no small battle to cope with this devastation, but in the process donni charm has allowed me to inspire others who have experienced loss by enabling them to duplicate a positive healing process.

I have always loved working on various fashion projects and in light of the tragedy, I began trying my hand at scarves. As I returned to college that fall, I gave my dear friend one of the first scarves we created. Through the support of friends and family, the scarves thrived in sorority trunk shows and philanthropic endeavors, and I watched my scarves take on a whole new meaning.

Naming the project was the easiest yet most heartfelt step of the process.  Those close to my father affectionately called him “Donny,” and as my mother later pointed out, I was his charm… thus, “donni charm” was created. The scarves wrap around me like the arms of his hug, and the good luck charms hang close to my heart where he will always remain.

Team donni’s goals are motivated by the true meaning behind donni charm.  We aim to remain unique and sophisticated, but always with a dash of fun, as my father Donny lived every day of his life.

We’ve come further than we ever could have anticipated in the last two and a half years.  Thank you for believing in donni charm!
